Shareholder Rights Directive II (SRDII)

Shareholder Rights Directive II (SRDII)

The revised Shareholder Rights Directive (SRDII) aims to strengthen shareholder engagement and increase transparency for asset managers and owners, and also to promote effective stewardship and long-term investment decision making. Article 3g of SRDII requires regulated firms to: develop and publicly disclose a shareholder engagement policy meeting the requirements of Article 3; and publicly disclose on an annual basis how the implementation of such engagement policy meets the requirements of Article 3; or publicly disclose why the firm has chosen not to comply. At this time we do not consider it appropriate to adopt a shareholder engagement policy as described by SRDII. This is disclosed publicly in our Engagement Policy on our website.
